Equality Media and Marketing has  secured the 17th position in the Micro Business category by Great Place to Work.
Unlike awards judged solely on written submissions, this recognition is built on confidential employee surveys and a rigorous assessment of workplace practices. With insights drawn from more than 158,000 Australian employees, it is the largest study of workplace culture ever conducted in the country.

Founder and Managing Director of Equality Media + Marketing, Marilla Akkermans said the award reflects Equality’s belief that culture is its greatest advantage.
“Culture isn’t a side project for us. It’s the foundation. When people feel supported and happy at work, they do their best work, and our clients feel that difference every day. This recognition means even more because it is based on the voices of our team. Their experience is the ultimate proof point that when you design a workplace around equity and care, productivity follows.”
Equality noted it had a 90% retention rate and workplace model including Equality Time, a four-day, 32-hour workweek at full pay, sit alongside inclusive wellbeing entitlements including menopause, miscarriage and cultural leave, enhanced parental leave with full superannuation, and pro bono commitments that extend equity beyond the agency, including 10% of profits directed to the Women’s Property Initiative.
